​Tom Cummins, the founder of TC Thatching Ltd, is an experienced master craftsman.

He entered the thatching industry back in 2005, serving a traditional apprenticeship with a well-established thatching company in Oxfordshire. He obtained NVQ Qualifications, the only formal qualifications recognised within the craft. 

Tom has worked on notable heritage properties including Queen Charlotte's Cottage at Kew Gardens and a farmhouse for Cadw (the Welsh historic environment service). 

TC Thatching Ltd work in combed wheat reed, water reed and longstraw materials. We work on both residential and commercial properties.

We are fully insured and have experience of working on both listed properties and on new build construction projects, alongside architects and building contractors. 

We source high quality materials and use only UK grown straw in our projects. We provide a professional service with good communication throughout. We take pride in our work, maintaining a fine attention to detail and quality finish.
